A friend of mine came up with an idea that was absolutely ridiculous.
It does not involve doing anything constructive except trying to prove that human beings can do something worthy of being written, in this case being blogged about, for 365 days in a row.
The experiment does not say what happens on the 366th day.
As the creators of the experiment were trying to revive a fledgling online presence, this friend of mine [Varad] asked me if I could write a post about it.
I agreed in exchange for a coke-float, though I'm not sure I've bargained well.
Anyway, to copy paste directly from their google-page,
"The 365 Experiment is an attempt to do some very wacky, weird, fun, seriously gross, imbalanced (always legal? maybe) stuff every single day of the week, for a whole calendar year."
The experiment was successful in the city of Pune, wrongly called "the oxford of the east",
where as many as 173 members had participated in it by the end of the year.
So now they want to recruit more people online, and aim at a "global" presence[*sigh* dont we all] by the end of this year of the experiment.
[Orders another coke float, waiter looks disgusted, maybe wife beats him]
What is necessary is the ability to come up with ways and means of doing something different.
Presenting the world with a first person view of "something different".
The City Slicker Milking Cow stunt has already been attempted.
Also, the rudimentary ability of being able to take picture to prove it has been done, so no one else tries the same thing again.
Same is frowned upon, different is goos.
I mean Good.
All contributors will be able to write about their achievements on the official blog [which is yet to come up] and awards for Best Attempt[failed], Best completed task, Best Idea[apparently you are also allowed to submit ideas and expect someone else to do the dirty work, if they wish.], Best Post and so on...Whatever.

365 days ... i wouldnt say the idea is ridiculous and that its new. you'd find many bloggers around..who post on the daily basis.. and vice versa.. and as for awards and recognitions goes.. it doesnt last long.. including blog of note by blogger.. there are many of blogs listed in BON directory, dont get any comment or traffic anymore.
and frankly.. google's blog of note itself is a messed up algorithm which runs inside the googler's mind..
